PAINTER | ILLUSTRATOR

P aul Rhodes is an eco-psychologist, clinician, and Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Sydney, who lives part-time in Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains, where he is also pursuing his interest in translating his ideas into artworks. In 2022 Paul has taken up a Fellowship at the Sydney Environment Institute to work on a Headspace Project looking into ways of helping young people with climate anxiety.

He is also an active author, writing on issues related to decolonisation, post-humanism, and place-based emotion. Paul is particularly interested in portraying issues related to climate emotion in his art, mirroring both a love of nature and the dissociation that comes from the climate crisis.
