Evelyne Weltlinger | Songs of the Heart

Recently moved back to the mountains Evelyne is a singer/songwriter, originally French, and has just released a CD which comprises Yiddish tunes (and her lyrics in French and English), standards in French and English and a couple of Evelyne’s own compositions.

She has performed in Europe, and also sings jazz and blues.

She will be launching the CD Songs of the Heart at Django @ Camelot 19 Marrickville RoadMarrickville  Sunday, 14 April 2019 Doors 7:00 PM Show 8:00 PM.

Come and enjoy this evening of beautiful music, as Evelyne regales you with material from her soulful album, “Songs of My Heart”. You will hear a variety of music – melodic Yiddish songs with Evelyne’s lyrics in French and English, evergreen classics in an exotic mix of languages, and her own expressive compositions.

Violinist virtuoso Daniel Weltlinger (Evelyne’s son), visiting from Berlin, happily features in this launch, as he does on Evelyne’ s CD.

To celebrate ten years of operating the Blue Mugs released a live CD all recorded in one take during our regular monthly Sunday afternoon gigs at The Nepean Rowers Club.

The biggest Ukulele festival in the Southern Hemisphere will be once again held at the The Carrington Hotel in February 2019.
All the fun starts on Friday night at the Dinner and Show, or you can head along to the Baroque room for a casual Strum along.
Saturday brings the biggest day with over 100 acts performing over 7 stages. A great family day out with some amazing musicans, entry is free.

From the Blue Mountains, singer/songwriter Manning Patston is young, confident and raw. With his acoustic guitar in hand he delivers a powerful full sound accompanied by his strong vocals giving his songs that extra edge! Manning has gently crafted his unique raw and acoustic sound, playing in pubs, clubs, sidewalks, bedrooms… pretty much anywhere they will let him play!

‘Come Around’, available on iTunes, Spotify and GooglePlay since July, his debut single Come Around was met with a sold out launch party and was well received online. A follow up Better Off In Dreams is darkly catchy!

Manning Patstons music is notable for its astute chamber-pop chord changes, surreal lyrical asides, powerful singing and agile backing band.

Allegra Dunning: Ukulele Festival Special Saturday Session – 09/02/2019 – 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Allegra Dunning is a 11-year-old singer-songwriter and future superstar from The Blue Mountains. She has been awarded the 2019 Folk Federation of NSW ‘Junior Artist of Year’.
Allegra performs a mix of rearranged covers and her originals. She writes songs about experiences, emotions and things we fear, with a distinctive Americana and Folk feel, and a strange obsession with the 1950s.
She performs with her trusty guitar yet is a multi-instrumentalist and plays Drums, Piano and Ukulele.

Jazz Daiquiri Duo | Roaring 20s Festival – 09/02/2019 – 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

As part of the 2019 Roaring 20s Festival being held at the  Palais Royale every Saturday night in February Robyn and Karl from Jazz Daiquiri will serenade you with some classic jazz tunes.
Jazz Daiquiri are one of the smoothest, most intoxicating sounds in the Blue Mountains. Featuring the beautiful voice of Robyn Gordon and Karl Javernig on guitar, Jazz Daiquiri can play anything from the coolest Latin sambas and bossa novas, swinging jazz standards or soulful blues and ballads, all professionally delivered with style and class. Karl’s intuitive jazz chords, arrangements and sense of rhythm provide the perfect backing for Robyn’s versatile voice.
